The Justice Department has released a heavily redacted version of the affidavit federal investigators used to justify obtaining a search warrant for former President ’s Mar-a-Lago home.

US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the unsealing by Friday at noon, and the Justice Department complied.

The 38-page reveals that the FBI in May sifted through 15 boxes of material recovered from Mar-a-Lago and found 184 documents that were classified. Among those were 25 top secret records, 67 that were confidential and a handwritten notes.

‘There is probable cause to believe that additional documents that contain classified (National Defense Information) or that are Presidential records subject to record retention requirements currently remain at the PREMISES,’ the affidavit reads. ‘There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at the PREMISES.’

It does not go into further details on if or when charges could be filed.

The affidavit contains a timeline that begins with a National Archives criminal referral on February 9, which was shortly after the 15 boxes were taken from Trump’s home. The boxes included ‘newspapers, magazines, printed news articles, photos, miscellaneous print-outs, notes, presidential correspondence, personal and post-presidential records and ‘a lot of classified records’, according to the affidavit.

Along with the affidavit, Reinhart unsealed a government memo explaining redactions in the affidavit and a list of those reasons. It includes a two-page list of paragraphs the Justice Department wanted to redact, But most of the explanations were blacked out except those concerning ‘agent safety’.

The Justice Department explained that it redacted large sections of the documents to protect the identities of FBI agents, law enforcement officers and witnesses.

‘In short, the government has well-founded concerns that steps may be taken to frustrate or otherwise interfere with this investigation if facts in the affidavit were prematurely disclosed,’ states the document.

Reinhart also released the order that sealed the redacted memo, the motion to initially seal the memo, an order that first sealed a memo on the redactions, and a supplemental memo on the redactions.

Following the release, Trump on his Truth Social platform pointed out that the affidavit did not make references to nuclear discussions, and criticized the judge.

‘Affidavit heavily redacted!!! Nothing mentioned on “Nuclear,” a total public relations subterfuge by the FBI & DOJ, or our close working relationship regarding document turnover – WE GAVE THEM MUCH,’ Trump .

‘Judge Bruce Reinhart should NEVER have allowed the Break-In of my home. He recused himself two months ago from one of my cases based on his animosity and hatred of your favorite President, me. What changed? Why hasn’t he recused himself on this case? Obama must be very proud of him right now!’

Trump that the entire FBI raid saga is a ‘WITCH HUNT!!!’
