President Joe Biden slammed his predecessor Donald Trump’s allies as ‘the most extreme political organization’ in recent US history, while commenting on the L***ed draft showing the Supreme Court’s intention to overturn Roe v Wade.
Biden on Wednesday morning warned that conservatives could try to ban LGBTQ children from classrooms if the Supreme Court does strike down the landmark 1973 decision establishing a constitutional right to abortion in the US.
The president said that reversing Roe v Wade could possibly even overturn Griswold v Connecticut, which struck down a state law prohibiting married couples from using contraceptives.
‘What happens if you have state changes the law saying that the children who are LGBTQ can’t be in classrooms with other children? Is that is that legit under the way this decision is written?’ said Biden, before referring to Trump’s Make America Great Again group.
‘What are the next things that are going to be attack? Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history. Recent American history.’
Biden attacked Trump’s followers when a reporter posed a Roe v Wade question after the president’s remarks on economic growth, jobs and his administration’s efforts on reducing the deficit.
The president said ‘this is about a lot more than abortion’, before being asked what ‘the next things that are going to be attacked’ could be.
‘I believe I have the rights that I have not because the government gave them to me… but because I’m just a child of God. I exist,’ Biden explained.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday afternoon elaborated that Biden has been struck by ‘the MAGA direction’ of some within the GOP, and the hold Trump continues to have on some members.
‘What we’re seeing, the latest antics make it clear that they’re at war with Mickey Mouse,’ said Psaki, referring to because it opposed the state’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.
‘They’re against allowing them to make choices about their own healthcare, against lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
‘And if that remains their platform, the president’s view is that is out of whack with the mainstream of the country.’
Psaki added that Biden is simultaneously always indicated he is open to ‘working with Republicans in good faith’. However, Biden is going to ‘call out more places where there are extreme policies and extreme comments and extreme positions that are unfortunately overtaking far too much of the party’, she said.
