NPFL: Plateau Maintain Title Push After Win Against MFM 

Plateau United beat MFM 2-0 to stay in contention for a second Nigeria Professional Football League title, reports Completesports.

Mohammed Zulkifilu nodded Anthony Sunday’s pass beyond goalkeeper Isaac Jerry in the 23rd minute to hand the hosts the lead.

Haggai Katoh doubled the hosts’ advantage 10 minutes before the break.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side reduced the gap between them and leaders Rivers United to two points following the win.

Rivers United will look to move clear at the top once again when they host eight-time champions Enyimba at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Monday.

MFM remain in 17th position on the table with 23 points from 23 matches.
